M.E.P

Mentorship & empowerment program, equips girls from the slums with skills, knowledge and relevant work experience.

JPP

Jitambue Purity Program targets teens in High Schools of ages 13 to 19 years predominantly from the slums, the core areas of focus include: Purity, Self-Worth and Positive Reproductive Health.

Abide Camp

The camps are tailored to provide teaching, mentorship and inspiration to live radically for Christ.

Tabasamu

TABASAMU means “smile” in Swahili. You can give a smile to a needy child in the slums of Mathere, Kibera and Kawangware with a present of a brand new pair of shoes and a meal.

Who are we?

Swahiba is a Swahili word meaning a  close friend.  We are a gospel centered organization whose primary focus is on the marginalized, underprivileged and destitute communities living in the slums and rural areas.

Our Programs

Jitambue Purity Program

The JPP is a program targeting Teens in High Schools of ages 13 to 19 years predominantly from the slum. The core areas of focus include: Purity, Self-Worth and Positive Reproductive Health.

Mentorship & Empowerment Program

The Primary objective of the Mentorship and Empowerment Program – MEP is to hone the High School graduate Girls from the Slums with a trade, skills, experience and positive values to enable them achieve their God given dreams.

Abide Camps

The camps are tailored to provide teaching, mentorship and inspiration to live radically for Christ. Since  inception of the Abide Camps, we have had 2143 young people come through the Camps with over 683 commiting to follow Christ.

Tabasamu

Tabasamu is a shoe distribution apeal for needy  children in the slums across the city of Nairobi. There is agreat need for every child in the slums have shoes. In the slums there are no paved roads, proper toilet/waste management.

First Priority

It is believed that most christians made their decision to follow christ in high school. First priority focuses on connecting the church to reach student by training student leaders to reach out to fellow student.

Short term missions

Mission involves: Speaking in Purity Clubs in High Schools, Leading Sessions of Evangelism and Discipleship, Visiting Families in the Slums with Food baskets and sharing the gospel with them , Medical camps among others
