“My brother and I are compelled to make bricks and sell them to make a living.” narrated Richard, a 15 year old boy in Asere Primary School . He informed us that his parents do not have a stable source of income, therefore they have to toil in farms and make bricks to get money for sustenance. This has escalated his truancy level as they would take shifts in going to school judging from the amount of fees raised. Richard was excited to receive a pair of shoe and socks to go to school with.
