The Mentorship and Empowerment Program (MEP), an initiative dedicated to equipping high school graduates from the slums of Kibera—one of the communities we serve—has just come to a close with a big, colorful celebration!

We give thanks to God for His faithfulness throughout this journey. Over the past 14 weeks, these courageous and determined young women have completed an intensive training program designed to prepare them for the marketplace and empower them to break the cycle of poverty.

The program offered a wide range of practical, life-changing skills. Participants were trained in baking and cookery, hospitality management (covering service and housekeeping), beauty and beadwork, detergent making, and basic computer skills. In addition, they received guidance in personal branding, life skills, financial management, communication skills, and career development. Each module was tailored to build confidence, develop marketable skills, and provide the tools necessary for personal and professional growth.

We celebrate these remarkable graduates and wish them every success as they step into their next chapters. May they find meaningful opportunities, become agents of transformation, and inspire others in their communities.

What’s Next? How You Can Get Involved

As we look ahead, we invite friends, partners, and well-wishers to walk with us and help carry this vision forward. You can make a lasting impact by:

Mentoring a graduate as they navigate life after training.

Hiring a graduate for internship or job opportunities.

Providing seed capital to help a graduate launch a small business and pursue economic independence.

Your support makes all the difference. Together, we can equip even more young women with the tools they need to rise above poverty and become catalysts of change in their communities.

Thank you 127 Worldwide and all our partners and supporters you made this possible!
