Empowering Girls for a Bright Tomorrow

The Mentorship and Empowerment Program (MEP) is dedicated to facilitating a seamless transition for girls residing in Kibera slums from high school into the marketplace. Our primary focus is on equipping these young women with essential skills that empower them to realize their full potential and pursue their dreams. The participants in this program have been actively engaged through our Jitambue Purity Program and First Priority programs during their high school journey.

The upcoming 2024 Cohort is set to commence their 11 weeks of training on February 6, 2024. In anticipation of this transformative period, the Swahiba team organized a crucial parent and beneficiaries meeting on January 28, 2024. During this session, a vivid picture of the program’s desired goals, values, and outcomes was painted. The team, led by our CEO Peter, and MEP Program lead Jentrix effectively communicated the essence of the partnership between parents and Swahiba Networks. This collaborative effort aims to work hand in hand to support and guide these girls in achieving their full potential. The meeting served as a platform to build understanding and commitment, emphasizing the collective responsibility in ensuring the success of each participant in the Mentorship and Empowerment Program.
