Mombasa Shoe Distribution Wrap-Up – Bangladesh Informal Settlements Impact

May 23, 2025
by Swahiba@OlympicDrive

Over 1,900 children in Mombasa’s informal settlements now walk in dignity thanks to The Shoe That Grows.

Through the Tabasamu Initiative, we distributed 1,905 pairs of durable, adjustable shoes across nine schools, including Nazarene Primary (Ganahola), St. Jude (Mikindani), Jerusalem and St. Agatha (Bangladesh), Gift School, St. Consolata, St. Paul and Peter, St. Mary (Bangladesh), and Glory Primary School.

“It’s not just a shoe—it’s hope. It’s freedom from burning feet.”

We saw smiles that spoke louder than words—and hearts that found new strength. It is our deep prayer that the hands that sow generously will continue to reap abundantly.

📍 Next: We’ve identified another hard-to-reach area in urgent need.
