Tabasamu Christmas Shoe Distribution: A Season of Joy and Hope

December 7, 2024

Today, December 7th, 2024, marked the beginning of the Tabasamu Christmas shoes distribution a heartfelt initiative aimed at spreading the true essence of Christmas. Over the coming weeks, we are humbled and honored to serve as vessels of love, sharing the joy of the season and gifting children from less fortunate backgrounds with something truly special: their first-ever brand-new pair of shoes.

For many of these children, this simple yet profound gift is more than just a Christmas present. It’s a symbol of hope and protection a pair of shoes that will shield their little feet from the harsh terrains of their neighborhoods and remind them that they are seen, loved, and valued.

The journey began at Tumaini Hope Centre, where some of the children from Kibera slums attend school, alongside other needy children from various organizations in the area. We had the privilege of not only giving out shoes but also spending precious moments interacting with these incredible kids. The joy in their eyes and the smiles on their faces as they tried on their new shoes and socks were moments we will cherish forever.

One child shared their excitement, saying, “Now I can walk to school, church and many places or even play football(soccer) without hurting my feet.” These touching stories remind us why we do what we do. In the coming days, we will be sharing more personal accounts from the children whose lives are being impacted through this initiative.

This day would not have been possible without the unwavering support of our partners. A special thanks to Celestielle Charitable Trust, who are supporting this initiative for the first time this year, for believing in this vision and helping us bring smiles to many faces. Together, we are not just giving shoes; we are sharing hope, spreading joy, and making Christmas truly meaningful for these amazing children.
Total number of shoes gifted: 153
Total number of children who responded to the word of God and gave their live to Christ: 18
