Tabasamu Shoe Distribution Brings Smiles and Hope to Kakamega County

This October marked yet another incredible milestone for the Tabasamu Shoe Distribution Program a journey of hope, smiles, and transformation that continues to impact children across Kenya.

Thanks to the unwavering generosity of our partners, we were able to extend our reach to Kakamega County, blessing hundreds of children with the gift of shoes and so much more. Our October focus led us to four schoolsMukangu Primary School, Sesheli Primary School, Isongo Primary School, and Shikomari Primary School.

In total, we distributed 1,653 pairs of shoes, ensuring that every child walked away not just with new footwear, but with renewed confidence and joy. But our mission goes beyond shoes it’s about holistic care. Alongside the shoes, we also provided toothpaste and toothbrushes to promote healthy smiles, and we took time to plant trees, including fruit trees, symbolizing growth, sustainability, and a brighter future for generations to come.

One of the most inspiring moments was the opportunity to share the Good News with the children. It was deeply encouraging to see many of them begin their journey of salvation, each receiving a new Bible to guide them in their walk of faith. Seeing their faces light up with hope and purpose reminded us why we do what we do.
