Tabasamu Mathare Slums

For a child in the Mathare slums, a new pair of shoes is often a distant luxury. This season, at The Good Samaritan Home and Rehabilitation Centre, that luxury became a reality for 289 children.

We initially set out to support the residents of the home children who have overcome the hardships of life on the streets and dysfunctional homes. However, seeing the overwhelming need in the wider community, we opened our doors even wider. The day was filled with more than just the excitement of ‘firsts.’ These weren’t just hand-me-downs; they were brand-new shoes, selected for each child’s size and presented to them by name.

As they prepared for the upcoming school year with their new gifts, the air was filled with a deeper joy. Through the sharing of the Good News, 12 children found a new path in Christ. To our supporters: thank you for helping us provide more than just footwear. You provided a step toward a brighter future and a reminder that every child matters.
