A Week of Faith, Transformation and Kingdom Impact

Abide Equipped 2026 was more than a camp. It was a week where young people gathered to encounter God, grow in faith, discover purpose, build meaningful relationships, and be equipped to live for something greater than themselves. From 10th August, 346 students and 79 leaders came together for a week filled with learning, worship, sports, conversations, friendship, and moments of genuine spiritual transformation. From the very first day, there was a sense of expectation that God was going to do something significant, and He did.

Day One set the tone for the week with a powerful evening session led by Mr. Chrispine on “Laying a Proper Foundation for Your Faith” from Luke 6. Students were reminded that it is possible to be equipped and still fall if the foundation is not strong. Just as the strength of a building depends on its foundation, our ability to stand firm through life’s challenges depends on being rooted in Christ. Through prayer, God’s Word, and a growing relationship with Jesus, students were encouraged to establish a foundation that cannot easily be shaken. The response was powerful, as 21 students made the decision to begin a new life in Christ. The foundation had been laid, and the week had begun with a clear reminder that everything must ultimately be built on Christ.

Day Two focused on being “Equipped for Every Good Work,” drawing from Hebrews 13:20–21. Rev. Ken Aringo unpacked the meaning of the word katartizo to equip, mend, fix, restore, or make complete. Students were reminded that God does not wait for us to become perfect before He uses us. He meets us in our brokenness, restores us, and prepares us to fulfil the purpose He has given us. Through faith, faithfulness, obedience, and trust, God equips His people to serve Him in their families, communities, nation, and generation. The day brought another defining moment as 16 students made a commitment to begin a new life in Christ, adding to the growing testimony of God’s work throughout the camp.

Day Three challenged students to become “Equipped to His Will.” Through 1 Thessalonians 5:23–24 and Hebrews 13:20–21, Irene Aliso reminded the students that God is the One who calls, sanctifies, equips, and works through us to accomplish His purposes. The story of Saul’s encounter with Christ on the Damascus Road brought the challenge close to home as students were asked to consider, “Whose agenda am I living for mine or God’s?” The message came down to three powerful words: Calling, Equipping, and Yielding. God never calls without equipping. He provides what we need through His Word, His Spirit, His grace, His people, and the seasons of preparation He takes us through. Our response is to trust His equipping and yield ourselves to His purposes. For another 27 students, that response became personal as they made a commitment to begin a new life in Christ.

By Day Four, the focus turned from what God was doing in the students to what He could do through them. Under the theme “Equipped for Kingdom Impact,” and drawing from Genesis 1:26–28, Rev. Paul reminded the students that every person has been created with purpose and called to influence the world for God’s glory. God has not only given us a calling; He has also given us what we need to fulfil it. Students were challenged to look beyond themselves and consider how their gifts, influence, choices, and lives can impact their families, communities, and generation. They were reminded that they are equipped to live boldly, equipped to serve faithfully, and equipped to impact their generation. Once again, 27 students made a commitment to begin a new life in Christ.

Across the week, 70 young lives surrendered to Christ. Thank You, Jesus! These 70 decisions represent more than a number. They represent young people choosing a new direction, beginning a journey of faith, and opening their lives to the transforming work of Christ. We pray that these decisions will grow into lives that know Christ deeply, walk faithfully with Him, discover their God-given purpose, serve others, and become a lasting Kingdom influence in their generation. Abide Equipped reminded us that true equipping is not simply about receiving knowledge; it is about being rooted in Christ, restored by His grace, surrendered to His will, and released to make Kingdom impact.

Your generosity helped create a space where young people could encounter God, ask important questions, discover their purpose, build godly relationships, and respond to His call. You did more than support a camp you invested in lives, you invested in a generation, and you invested in the Kingdom of God.

The camp may be over, but what God started must continue beyond the campgrounds. The real measure of Abide Equipped will be seen in the lives of these young people as they return to their homes, schools, churches, communities, and future places of influence. Our prayer is that what began at Abide will become a lifestyle a generation that remains rooted in Christ, responds to His call, walks in His purpose, and lives for His Kingdom.
