Braeburn School Students Bring Hope and Encouragement to Widows in Kibera

At Swahiba Networks, we believe that acts of kindness can create lasting impact. Recently, we had the privilege of partnering with Braeburn School as students stepped beyond the classroom and into the Kibera community to visit widows, delivering food baskets and words of encouragement.

The visit was more than an opportunity to provide practical support. It was a chance to build meaningful connections, listen to stories, share moments of joy, and remind widows that they are valued and remembered. Through these visits, students experienced firsthand the power of compassion in action.

The experience left a lasting impression on the students and staff of Braeburn School. Following the outreach, we received the following message from Mr. Rowland, Deputy Head Teacher:

“On behalf of Braeburn School, we would like to express our heartfelt gratitude for organizing the widows’ gathering and giving us the opportunity to share food baskets as a way of spreading hope, love, and smiles within the community.

Our students were deeply touched by the experience and are grateful to have participated in such a meaningful initiative. It was a valuable opportunity for them to learn the importance of compassion, generosity, and service to others.

We sincerely appreciate your partnership and look forward to supporting similar initiatives in the future as we continue making a positive impact through collective action.

Kind regards,

Mr. Rowland

Deputy Head Teacher

Braeburn School”

We are grateful for Braeburn School’s willingness to invest in the lives of others and to give students an opportunity to learn lessons that cannot be taught in a classroom alone. By serving widows in the community, these young people demonstrated empathy, generosity, and a commitment to making a difference.

Through collective action, we can create stronger communities where vulnerable members are supported and where young people grow into compassionate leaders who understand the value of serving others.

At Swahiba Networks, we remain committed to building partnerships that bring hope, dignity, and practical support to those who need it most. We thank Braeburn School for joining us on this journey and for helping spread hope, love, and smiles to widows in the Kibera community.

Through compassion in action, every visit, every conversation, and every act of kindness contributes to a brighter future for all.
