At the MEP Alumni Milestone White Party, we had the privilege of hearing from some of the women whose lives have been impacted through Swahiba Networks. One of them was Queenter, a beneficiary whose journey reflects what is possible when a girl is given an opportunity, a skill and the support to believe in herself.
Here is her story, in her own words:
My name is Queenter, a beneficiary of Mentorship and Empowerment program.
I stand here today with a grateful heart. I want to say a big ASANTE SANA to Swahiba Networks for giving us this course for FREE.
Before this training, I had passion but I had no skill. I had no money to pay for a baking school.
But Swahiba came and opened the door for us. They taught us not just baking, but how to be a businesswoman.
Today, because of Swahiba Networks, I have a skill in my hands. I can bake cakes, mandazi, and even cook.
And this skill is now helping me to earn my own money. I can now support myself, support my family, and I am no longer begging. I am earning with dignity.
Swahiba did not just give me flour and recipe, you gave me power. You gave me hope.
What Swahiba Networks has done is more than training. You have taught us to fish. You have empowered a girl child to become self independent.
We are grateful for stories like Queenter’s that remind us why this work matters.
A special thank you to 127 Worldwide, for believing in the vision of Swahiba Networks and supporting the work of empowering girls and young women with skills, knowledge and opportunities.
To all our partners, supporters, trainers and everyone who continues to invest in these journeys, Asante Sana. Your partnership helps turn opportunities into skills, skills into livelihoods, and dreams into possibilities.
Together, we are empowering a generation to become self-reliant, confident and equipped for the future.
