Several months ago, the Lord put Kenya on my heart. I was thrilled when our church decided to take a team, and I responded. I came with no expectations except to be used by the Lord. My eyes have been opened to a people who appear to have nothing, yet they have everything because they have Jesus. The joy they have, despite their circumstances, is truly convicting. Doing music with the children and hearing them sing “Jesus Loves Me” deeply touched me because they not only know it but believe it. I will be taking Kibera back with me in my heart, and I pray the seeds planted will multiply in ways we can’t imagine. The staff have done an incredible job, and I am truly grateful.
